Product description
The Oak Acoustic Slat Panel is a slatted wall panel in light, natural oak veneer with a sound-absorbing felt backing: it reduces echo and brightens the room.
It is the most neutral shade in the collection. Light oak goes with almost any furniture colour, so if you want to treat a wall acoustically without making a strong colour decision, this is the safest choice. It works well behind the TV in a living room, on the wall behind the bed in a bedroom and in an office alike.
Construction and how it works
- Real wood veneer slats in a light, natural oak shade
- MDF core with CARB P2 certification (low formaldehyde emissions)
- Polyester felt backing: this absorbs the sound and provides the acoustic function
- Sound reaching the gaps between the slats is absorbed by the felt: the room’s reverberation time shortens and speech becomes clearer
Technical data
- Panel size: 2700 × 600 × 21 mm, 1.62 m² per panel
- Can be fitted to walls and ceilings alike
- Fixing: with adhesive (e.g. Lumina Universal Adhesive) or with screws
- Made from environmentally friendly materials, for indoor use
Installation and care
The panel can be cut to size with a circular saw or a jigsaw fitted with a fine-toothed blade, so the veneer does not splinter. For a professional finish at the panel ends, the Acoustic Panel Edging Strip is available, and for indirect lighting that clips between the slats, you can ask for an LED kit. Clean it with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; harsh chemicals damage the veneer.
Frequently asked questions
How is it different from the Teak or Walnut panel?
Only in the shade of the veneer: oak is the lightest and most neutral, teak is a warmer golden brown, and walnut is a deep, dark tone. Their construction, size and acoustic function are the same.
How many panels do I need for a 3 m wide wall?
A 3 × 2.7 m wall (8.1 m²) needs 5 panels, and the 2.7 m panel height matches an average ceiling height.
Does it make the room brighter?
Yes. The light oak veneer reflects light, so it can be used in smaller or north-facing rooms too without making the space feel more closed in.
You can see the Oak acoustic slat panel in person at the Woopla showrooms in Budaörs and Békéscsaba; we deliver from stock with the Lumina manufacturer’s warranty.
