Product description
The Walnut Acoustic Slat Panel is a deep brown, walnut-veneer slatted panel with polyester felt backing: elegant and echo-absorbing, for offices and homes.
The rich walnut shade recalls the mood of classic studies and well-appointed meeting rooms: a darker, more professional character than teak. In a bedroom, on the wall behind the bed, the soft felt backing dampens sound, and the result is a quieter, more intimate room.
Construction and how it works
- Walnut-coloured wood veneer slats on an MDF core (CARB P2 certified)
- Black polyester felt backing that absorbs the sound entering through the gaps between the slats
- The result: shorter echo, clearer speech, and you can hear the difference on video calls too

Installation and care
On a home-office wall, 2–3 panels usually already bring a visible and audible improvement. Cut with a fine-toothed circular saw blade; you can also make up the height by adding pieces at the top and bottom. Care means dusting, or a slightly damp cloth if needed.

Why is it worth it for a home office?
The echo of bare walls makes your voice sound hollow on video calls. A sound-absorbing panel wall gives noticeably clearer microphone sound and a calmer place to work, while also providing a professional backdrop on camera.
Which is darker, walnut or teak?
Walnut: a deeper, cooler brown with a more pronounced grain. Teak is a warmer, lighter mid-brown. It is worth looking at samples of the two side by side.
Should I glue it or screw it?
On a flat, stable wall, adhesive is quicker and leaves no marks; on plasterboard, on the ceiling or for a fixing you may want to remove later, screws are the safer option. The two can also be combined.
