Product description
The Pietra PVC Wall Panel is a greyish, stone-inspired marble-effect wall covering: a 3 mm, 100% waterproof PVC sheet with contrasting, distinctive veining.
‘Pietra’ is Italian for stone, and that is exactly what this panel delivers: the bold veins running across a cool grey base show the more dramatic side of modern stone finishes. In a modern bathroom with black fittings, or in a living room with light wood and linen, it makes a contemporary, gallery-like backdrop.
Technical features
- Sheet size: 3000 × 1220 × 3 mm; one sheet covers 3.66 m²
- High-gloss surface, grey base, contrasting veining
- 100% waterproof, mould-resistant
- Heat-resistant up to 80 °C; for indoor use
Installation
It is fixed with adhesive; with sheets that have a contrasting pattern, laying out the order dry first is recommended here too, so the veins continue harmoniously. Grey or clear sanitary silicone suits the joints; cut it with a utility knife or a fine-toothed saw blade.
Cleaning
A microfibre cloth and water with a little washing-up liquid; in a bathroom, limescale can be treated with a vinegar-based descaler. Scouring products do not belong on the glossy surface.
Frequently asked questions
Won’t it feel oppressive in darker rooms?
The Pietra’s base colour is a mid-light grey, and the glossy surface reflects light, so in a well-lit room or one with natural light it looks elegant, not gloomy. For a smaller room without a window, the lighter Calcatta or Gloss White may be the safer choice.
Can it be used in a shower?
Yes, it is waterproof and grout-free; on a shower wall we recommend it combined with a liquid waterproofing membrane, with the joints sealed with colour-matched silicone.
What is it most often combined with?
Black or graphite taps, light wood furniture and linen textiles; the grey veining brings out all three.
You can see the Pietra panel in person in Budaörs and Békéscsaba; Woopla is the official distributor of Lumina and delivers from stock with the manufacturer’s warranty.
